If you are having trouble with the in-platform recording widget, you will need to upload an audio file manually.

Firstly, make sure you are using Google Chrome as your browser on a desktop computer or laptop.


Click on the START button on the activity page.

You will see a pop-up at the top left corner for obtaining permission to use your microphone. Usually, you would select 'Allow'. In this case, select 'Block' as disabling the in-platform widget is the only way you can see the option to upload an audio file manually.

You should now see an Upload (+) button. You can now record audio with another device (e.g. your phone), or in a different program, and then upload the audio file manually.

If you would like the option to record again, you will need to revert the changes that you have made. You will need to clear your cache, and then unblock your microphone access by following these steps.
