All of our paid packages include a basic tests for each module. These tests include vocab, grammar, reading, and listening & writing and are marked instantly so you can review it as you go!


Our Silver and Gold packages include teacher graded writing and speaking assessments. The assessments are different for each level and get more challenging as you go.


Finally, our Gold package includes 1:1 tutorials with our highly skilled teachers to discuss any language concerns or feedback you have!

Levels

The assessments are different for each level and will become more and more challenging as you progress.

Bronze packages only have access to the Auto-graded Vocab, Grammar, Reading, and Listening tests/quizzes.


In Silver and Gold packages, you will have teacher graded writing assessments available from level 1, and graded speaking from level 3.

What is 'Level 0'?


Level 1

Level 1 has two short teacher graded writing assessments for each topic and each assessment includes two types of writing (total of 10 writing assessments and 20 writing questions!):

  1. People
  2. Home
  3. Work
  4. Education
  5. Food


Level 2

 

Similar to level 1, level 2 has teacher graded writing assessments for each topic:

  1. Education
  2. Sport
  3. Socialising
  4. Transport
  5. Professions

However, in level 2, you will have an Email, an Article, and a Story to write for each of these topics (total of 15 writing assessments!). 


Summary of writing assessment marking criteria


Level 3

 

Level 3 includes teacher graded assessments for both Writing and Speaking.


The writing is designed to follow the Cambridge First English Testing system where you will find two parts:

  • Part 1: Essay
  • Part 2: Article, Email/Letter, Review, Report

There are currently four Essays, and two of each Part 2 type (total of 12 writing assessments).



The speaking assessment is also similar to the Cambridge First speaking test and you will find three examples each of:

  • Part 2: Compare two photos and answer a question
  • Part 4: Discuss specific questions with a partner

Level 4: Test Ready

 

Test Ready is designed for those who are on their way to academic courses. As such, the practice questions are similar to IELTS, PTE-A, and TOEFL type questions. See here for more information.


Instead of basic tests, Test Ready has "Progress Checks" after each module with a quiz, writing, and speaking task:

  1. Culture and Society
  2. The Environment
  3. Health
  4. Education
  5. Science and Technology
  6. Business
